Staying in our Mediterranean-style barn ensures a completely relaxing holiday but, if you would like to gently explore more of Cornwall, you'll find much to see within just a few miles of Bosue.

Here's a selection of our favourite local attractions plus a few more further afield - not very far, all of Cornwall is within roughly an hour's drive.

Mevagissey

is still very much a working fishing village. Although there is now also a wide selection of gift & craft shops,
galleries, a local museum, a world famous Model Railway and an Aquarium, you can still go out on fishing
trips - mackerel or even Shark!

Lost Gardens of Heligan

The world renowned Lost Gardens of Heligan is only a short distance from our secluded location in the Cornish
countryside. Heligan is the largest European garden restoration project ever attempted. One particular success
was the restoration of the Pineapple house - yes, they really can grow pineapples in Cornwall!

The garden incorporates the woodland valley, the Home Farm and an innovative, hi-tec, wildlife hide where
you can watch birds, squirrels and badgers via live video links or see filmed sequences.

The Eden Project

has been called "The eighth wonder of the world" by some. Almost half-a-million people visited during the
Big Build - watching the development of the Biomes. In Eden's first full year, over 2 million people came to
view this amazing spectacle, housing two of the world's climate zones, the third climate zone being Cornwall's
own mild and sunny climate. The largest Biome is so large that the Tower of London would fit inside it. And
yet, the structure is so light - 400 tons - that it is the same weight as the air it contains!

They are currently constructing an Educational centre, the design of which has been inspired by 'nature's perfect
spiral'. A third, Arid, biome is being planned together with a new visitor Gateway to the Project.

Charlestown

Just along the coast, near St Austell, is the Georgian port and village of Charlestown. Built by Charles Rashleigh
to export the local White Gold - China Clay - it was once a hive of industrial activity servicing the clay boats.
Today, it is a more tranquil spot, with a not-to-miss Shipwreck & Heritage Museum, and several pubs and
cafes near to the harbour.
